...Luke's 4th Birthday...

Let the record show, I am NOT a fan of Chuck E Cheese.

Luke, however went through the biggest, baddest, obsession with Chuck, and consequently, much to my dismay, we ended up having his 4th birthday there.

We didn't invite friends, only the 5 of us, and I have to begrudgingly admit, it was SUPER DUPER fun.

Highlights from the night include...

Luke, rocking out, with his super awesome, birthday paraphernalia....

Cute you just die, and this little 4 year old, taking his guitar so seriously?

Luke was essentially, knighted, and given a medal of birthday honor...
Are you interested in a DEVASTATING side note? This birthday attendant, pictured here, bestowing the medal upon Luke, is probably no longer an employee of Chuck E Cheese Inc, The reason being, about 7 minutes after this photo was taken, he was carrying out a BEAUTIFUL obviously exorbitantly expensive, 3 tiered, custom, fondant decorated, sports themed birthday cake for the birthday party next to us....when he lost balance and DUMPED the entire thing over the rail and onto the stage where Chuck and the gang rock out in all their animatronic glory. SHUT UP, right???? He sheepishly brought out two busted up chuck e cheese cakes and made sure to keep reassuring the women that they were " ON THE HOUSE" Oy...I felt awful for the guy.

Back when Luke wasn't terrified of  "costume guys"

Because it was Luke's birthday, he qualified for a turn in the, oh-so-coveted, birthday ticket blaster....This photo was taken mere moments before they flipped the switch and Luke 100% freaked the beep out, as tickets and air started swirling around him like a mad hurricane.

He was traumatized, but he was fine after 2 minutes...

The silver lining is that Macy then qualified to take his place....that girl grabbed tickets like her little life depended on it...she made it out of there with 1200 tickets... no joke.

Luke made out like bandit, thanks to very generous grandparents. :)

Luke lights up my life. He is the most verbally affectionate person I have ever met, and is constantly making me feel like a million bucks. He is so cute, so boy, and keeps me ON MY TOES. He comes with his own set of little boy drama, but he's worth every ounce of it. I love him, and I feel so lucky to be his mom.
