...Fourth of July 2012...

Up here in the great white north, Summer doesn't start until July 4th. It usually doesn't get above 70 until then, so when it does happen, WE ARE OUTSIDE! We celebrated the great weather and the birthday of this great country with our 2nd Annual Knapp Family Firework, Friends and Food Fest!
Check it out.

Crazy part is that it was 9:15 when this photo was taken, which means it's a looong party waiting around for the sun to drop so we can start the fireworks show. We usually fill the last of part of the day light hours with plenty of smoke bombs, firecrackers, and worms.Which Luke calls "worm poop"
Oh, and we make sure to eat lots of yummy food. :)

The Partay...

This is our red headed Resident Firework technician and his assistants.... One of the highlights for me this year were watching Rich run down the street holding two LIT firework fountains screaming "FREEDOM!" and "LOAD YOUR MUSKETS!" at the top of his lungs. He sets a great example.

We live a half a mile from Whitefish lake, and every year they do an awesome fireworks show, which we can conveniently watch from our front yard...It never disappoints!
We LOVED spending the fourth with all of our friends, and we're especially glad to have the Millers! They are fabulous friends who live WAY too far away and it was great to have them!
